A flagrant stitch-up

Whatever way you look at it, Florentina's continual incarceration stinks. It stinks of injustice, it stinks of corruption - there is no sense in it, neither legally nor morally...someone at the top, I keep reading in various blogs, comments and opinions...

Herta Muller awarded Nobel Prize

What marvellous news! This excellent author, so persecuted under Roumanian communism, heavily censored and spied upon, followed even as far as Germany, has been awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature. Rarely have I heard of anyone who deserves it more...

And so today, we finally see the arrest of one Vasile Dima, head of maintenance at Giulesti, a far more guilty party than Florentina Carstea, for he was responsible for training staff for evacuation in the event of a fire, the equipment itself, inspections...
