Liana Dumitrescu dies aged 38

So very sad. May Liana Dumitrescu rest in peace. I do hope this isn't another case of malpractice:

MP Liana Dumitrescu dies at 38 after cardiac arrest

(Source: Bucharest Herald) MP Liana Dumitrescu died Thursday morning, after an almost two week struggle to recover from the stroke she suffered on 18 January, two days before turning 38. The patient arrested at  8.45 and though doctors tried to resuscitate her for 46 minutes, her heart did not respond, Elias Hospital, where the deputy was hospitalized, said in a press release. The death occurred around 9.30.

The management of Elias Hospital requested Sector 1 Courthouse to perform a medical- legal expertise to check the correctness of diagonostics and treatment.  Tuesday, Liana Dumitrescu’s parents submitted a criminal complaint against Elias Hospital, to the High Court of Justice, in which they accuse the doctors of refusing to allow the patient to be transported abroad for treatment.

Liana Dumitrescu had a rare cerebral disease, with a fulminant evolution under treatment, which made it impossible her transfer to another clinic, said Wednesday the manager of Elias Hospital, Mediafax informs.

Professor Ovidiu Băjenaru, the head of the Neurology Clinic from Bucharest Emergency Hospital, who asked to be part of the team which was consulting  Liana Dumitrescu said that in his career of almost 4 decades,  he only met four or five cases  with such a fulminant evolution under treatment.

Liana Dumitrescu was a jurist born on  20 January  1973, in Craiova. She was, from 2008, a Neamţ deputy, representing the Macedonians  Association in Romania. Dumitrescu was also a deputy in the 2004 – 2008 term.

Most people wished her "have fun in hell" for the way she voted on pension cuts back in summer.

As for my opinion: may all MPs who voted for Basescu's pension cuts go to hell, not only Liana Dumitrescu.
